Dear Ma,
GBENGA DANIEL HAS A BIG CASE TO ANSWER
I wish to congratulate you on your agency's renewed efforts against corruption, especially the arrest, questioning and detention of Otunba Gbenga Daniel, former governor of Ogun State.
I give kudos to your men whose seven days painstaking manhunt finally lead to the arrest of Daniel in Sagamu.
You will recall that I submitted several petitions against the ex-governor especially on illegal deductions from the local government allocations from Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (which I put at N96 billion in eight years), deductions from the revenue due to the Oba's traditional Council (the +bas were being paid one per cent less than what FAAC approved and this runs into several millions monthly), extortions from Council Chairmen, inflated bill boards purportedly for junior world cup 2009 hosted by Nigeria (of course no bill board was made, thou we parted with N2.5 million for two bill boards per LG (meaning 40 bill boards at N50 million!), at N125, 000 each even when the current market cost of production is N150, 000. N500, 000 were returned to the chairmen through Pastor Yanju Lipede, but I refused to collect such filthy money) and other forced and unstatutory deductions from LG accounts.
When I visited your office in July 2010, I volunteered to be a witness during his prosecution, which I had foreseen by then.
Since his latest arrest, the internet (naijapolitics@yahoogroups.com, omooduayahoogroups.com, nigerianworldforum@yahoogroups.com , facebook and more) has been awashed with curses, abuses and threats on my person and family led by one of his notorious lawyers, Mr. Yemi Oke.
I am presently writing this from underground. My family members who recently returned from one year exile in Ghana having fled when Daniel's agents attempted to kidnap my children from their hostels at Mayflower School Ikene after my July 2011 visit to your office, have again been evacuated.
Despite this, I am still willing to testify and say what I know about Gbenga Daniel's financial recklessness, executive lawlessness and moral decadence.
I also suggest that on the ground of morality, Barrister Festus Keyamo should not be allowed to prosecute him. Keyamo is also is lawyer.
It may be asked what my interest is? Yes, I believe in justice and people's participatory, democracy, prudency and transparency in governance. I was detained under military rule for seven times based on my prodemocracy activism. Alas, Gbenga Daniel's misgovernance, arrogance, combative maladministration and being light-fingered made military brigandage and corruption a child's play.
Let it be said that when a locust wrecked unprecedented havoc and perforated the purse of Ogun State and auctioned our collective inheritance,
I, Abdul Raheem Tunde Oladunjoye Nasir, the Jagunmolu Musulumi of Ijebu East Local Government area and the Apagunpote of Arigidi land, did confronted the kleptomaniac menace with his OGD (Organised Grand Deceit).
While I expect you to arrange for my human security, I leave my life in the hands of Almighty Allah subuana tahala with the belief that walaola walakuwata, ilabilahi aliyuliasim.
If I die in the hands of Gbenga Daniel's agents, it would be a noble death. Nobody should weep over my corpse. My comrades, to be determined by Mr. Austin Oniyokor, Mr. Olasupo Ojo, Mr. Uche Nnadozie, Mr. Lere Olayinka, Mr. Femi Asekun, and Mr. Segun Ikuesan should be the ones to carry my corpse into the grave.
Finally ma, I urge you to be resilient and prayerful and act to the true dictates of your conscience, bearing in mind that Almighty Allah is the ultimate judge.
I wish you well as I pray for you.
Yours in the service of fatherland,
Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye
