It was gathered from a reliable source that the U.S President Barack Obama made a conversation with the Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan through a phone call. In the conversation, the U.S President appreciated the unrelenting efforts of the Nigerian Government to stop the ongoing crisis in Cote d'Ivoire. He also said that, the  internationally recognized election on Nov. 28 should be followed and respected for the sake of democracy.

The U.S President also informed President Jonathan on the steps been taking to put an end to the crisis that had been on since Nov. 28, when the incumbent ruling president,Laurent Gbagbo, refused to accept his electoral lost to Alassane Ouattara.
