The meeting was attended by PDP leaders delegates from Ekiti, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Oyo States. The co-ordinator, His Excellency, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Governor of Ogun State gave the opening address in which he welcomed the delegates and explained the purpose of the meeting.
The Forum resolved as follows:
1. The meeting unanimously re-affirmed the south west commitment to the Goodluck Jonathan / Sambo Presidential candidature taken at the caucus meeting in Ibadan on Sunday August 28, 2010.
2. The meeting took report on the State of the Goodluck Jonathan / Sambo Campaign in each of the South / West States, in which they expressed satisfaction and readiness to work for the success of the campaign.
3. The meeting also set up formal structures for the Goodluck Jonathan / Sambo’s Campaign organization in the zone. Facilitators / Motivators were appointed for each of the states in the zone. They are Otunba Gbenga Daniel (Ogun), Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala (Oyo), Engineer Olusegun Oni (Ekiti), Dr. Olusegun Agagu (Ondo) and Lagos State; the Minister of Finance Mr. Segun Agaga, Mr. Femi Otedola and Chief Bode Oyedele.
4. The meeting appointed Protem Officers for the zone. They are Spokesman Prince Dayo Adeyeye (Ekiti), Finance, Otunba Funsho Lawal (Oyo), Contact / Mobilization Chief Dapo Sarumi (Lagos), Publicity, Mr. Ayo Aluko-Olokun (Osun), Women Affairs, Mrs. Oladunni Odu (Ondo), Youth Affairs, Prince Segun Ilori (Ekiti) and Secretary, Mr. Lekan Odulate (Ogun).
5. The meeting directed the establishment of Similar Structures at the State, Local Government and Ward Levels.
6. The meeting also setup a 6 man committee on the interest of the South-West, headed by Otunba Solomon Oladunni, other members are: Chief A.B Ogunlade OFR (Ekiti), Hon. Michael Akinfenwa (Oyo), Dr. Mrs. Ayo Badejo (Osun), Chief Kolapo Ogunjobi (Ogun), Senator Kofo Bucknor Akerele (Lagos) and Mrs. Ayoka Lawani (Executive Secretary).
7. Finally, the meeting urged leaders and PDP members in the South West to work assiduously for the emergence of the Goodluck Jonathan / Sambo candidature in the PDP primaries as well as their eventual election as the President and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the next general election.
8. The meeting will reconvene in the next two weeks.
